Back from the Playa and wanting to connect with other burners?  Want to bring back your stories and experience, your inspiration and desire to get involved?

Micropolis is a Greater Vancouver Interactive Arts Society (GVIAS)  event to celebrate art, community, and participation.  Proceeds from this event will go to fund further art grants. To find out more about GVIAS visit our website: http://www.gvias.org

The venue at the W2 Storyeum downtown Vancouver offers lots of space for art installations, performance, themed areas and workshops.

The event will be split into a family focused daytime from 12 noon – 8pm.  The evening celebration will be from 9pm until late. 
There will be a community vegetarian meal from 7pm – 8pm.

Art.

Bring your art !!  This event is about celebrating the creativity in our community, no matter how large or small lets show what Vancouver's burners have been producing.  Did you take an art piece or themed activity to Burning Man this year?  Have you produced art for past events? We have the space for you to showcase your art at Micropolis.  To register space for your art project please contact Abel under placement before October 1st.

Performance

Performers, musicians, DJ's and VJ's all have opportunity to share your talents.  We have two sound proof rooms for dancing and performances.  There is the opportunity for silk acrobatics, stilt performances.  If you wish to share your talents – DJ's and VJ's contact Aaron and – performances/musicians contact Robert.

Themed Areas

If you have an idea for a themed activity area and would like to register space at the event please contact Abel under Placement before October 1st.

Activities for Kids

We are celebrating the kids in our community by organizing fun creative activities during the day. Let your inner child come out to play and join the fun. If you have a special activity you would like to produce for the younger ones of our community contact Baha and Kelly under Kids activities with your ideas.
